Reputation scores: The Next Level of Protection

There is an enormous amount of traffic that moves across the enterprise gateway, and this fact, along with the expansion of the boundaries of the enterprise itself, has changed how we must view security. Web 2.0 attacks are now able to penetrate the network through the highest layers of the OSI model, and new attacks are being created with startling frequency.

Secure Computing's TrustedSource™ global reputation system generates highly accurate reputation scores to provides the "missing link" that has long been absent from Internet security. TrustedSource reputation scores form the foundation of Secure Computing's entire range of messaging, Web, and network gateway solutions, accumulating data from over 7000 sensors in 51 countries to create highly accurate profiles of all sender activity on the Internet. With TrustedSource, the reputation score of a traffic source is analyzed, and the system determines whether it is reliable. Using this technique, which has been highly refined for accuracy, TrustedSource shuts down unreliable senders with poor reputation scores at the gateway, before they can get into your network and do damage. Even if the specific attack has not yet been identified, TrustedSource recognizes the source, says "I know you, you're up to no good," and blocks the connection.
